CHICO — A nonprofit in Chico has set its sights for a future 264-acre sports recreation and education facility venue aimed to fill gaps of recreational facilities in Butte and surrounding counties for the next 50 years.
Everybody Health Body, formed in 2016, is petitioning Butte County to zone land located between the Skyway and Highway 99 for sports recreation and physical education facilities in Butte County’s 2040 General Plan update.
Everybody Healthy Body advisor Audrey Taylor said the nonprofit envisions the area for sports teams of all ages to compete and to have a campus for physical health and education.
